My herbs are wilting and dying!?
I have just spent a fortune buying fresh herbs from the garden centre, I have only had them 2 days and the mint and parsley are wilted and look like they are going to die! I haven’t done anything to them just put them on the balcony, just a little water and they are in the sun/shade. the garden centre is across the road so the climate is just the same. (I haven’t asked at the garden centre as I dont speak the language!)
Did you repot them? If not, I would suggest potting them in pots of at least 12″ for the mint and 6 for the parsley using a good quality potting soil. If they are dry at all water before potting. Be sure to water after potting also. They do better in part sun. Before deciding to water again check the moisture of the soil by sticking your finger in up to the first knuckle. The soil just always be just barely moist – never completely dry.
